The born of an infinite space retro-game

This game is my first game EVER.  At first, I wanted to be a indie game developer, so I buy a course from Domestika to start. This course is dificult, no maked for principants. After thet fail whit Domestika, I don't wanted to make video games, but then I see videos in youtube about tutorials for very principant people that want to work in unity. So I reinstall unity and start making the examples of the tutorials.Ese fue mi primer paso en el mundo de los creadores de videojuegos.

Like 1 month later, I feel ready for start my first own proyect for practice my new abilities. I started imagine about the topic of my game. My first idea was a recreation of one of the most simple game ever: Asteroid. So I make the principals sprites in piskel. Then I started programing the player. That was very easy because is like the first think that show in the tutorials. Then I make the asteroids that was easy too, because is like make a coin: if a bullet impact a rock, destroyed. But then I wanted to put to the asteroids live. That give me my first problems because the live didn't substract correctly, it takes a random number an substract the live with that number, so I close the proyect. The next day, very lazy, I open the proyect and saw that the bug fixed alone, like magic!. I remember that I was very happy.

Then, I made an enemy, my second problem: the enemy bullets and player bullets don't detected the collision whit each other. I tried EVERYTHING: Collision is trigged, change the code, so I close again the proyect, but very angry with me. I don't work in unity like a half of month because the exams, but then I decided to finish my game correctly (I don't finished after that, I finished 5 months later). I discovered that if a collider is trigger, in the code, the collider detection needs to be adapted to trigger collisions!. I rewrite the code and it fixed. I was so glad because I fixed a simple problem that in that time I thinked that was imposible to fix.

Then, I made the Boom-Bot(The little robot that follows you). It was very easy because I only paste the code from a video tutorial. The think that was difficult for me was destroy the object after the animation of explosion. At the end I fixed only putting a 0.74f AFTER a coma AFTER the game object that was IN the parentesis AFTER destroy.

Then, I made the scorebars that weren't a problem. There are only some text. After that I made the pause menu, the options menu, the game over menu, and the home menu that weren't a big problem to, thankfully.

I almost forgot the secret code bar and the character selection, or like I name it: the skin selector.

That is, generaly, all the process making my first game. Actually I am making another game that is almost finished. If you want to play it, be active with my profile and just wait two weeks, because I have tests in the college. Enjoy my little games and send me your recomendations for me to upgrate my developer skills. Thank you for reading this.
